Ordering & timing
How do braided wig pre-orders work?
Every wig is made to order and takes 3–4 weeks. We highly recommend ordering with enough time to receive your wig before your vacation, event or special occasion. We're not able to take rush orders at this time.
When will my order arrive?
Please allow 3–4 weeks for your wig to be made, plus shipping time:
- 3–5 business days within the United States
- 10–14 business days internationally
Once your wig ships, you'll receive a tracking number by email.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Your wig goes into production as soon as you order, so we're unable to accept cancellations. Please review your size, length and color carefully before checking out. Not sure? Contact us before you order and we'll help you choose.
If my delivery is delayed and I miss a hair appointment, will you cover the fees?
We're not able to cover fees for missed or cancelled hair appointments. We recommend waiting until you've received and checked your wig before booking any installation appointment.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes. Choose Shop Pay at checkout to split your wig into 4 payments. For example, a $519 wig is 4 payments of $129.75.
Choosing your wig
How do I choose my cap size?
Measure around your head from your hairline, above your ears, to the nape of your neck. Our caps come in Small (21 inch), Medium (22 inch) and Large (23 inch). See our wig measurement guide, or contact us and we'll help.
Can I wear my wig glueless?
Every Luxe wig comes with an adjustable band and combs, and most styles can be worn glueless right out of the box. Some styles may need to be customized by a stylist to be worn glueless.
I have thinning hair or alopecia. Will a Luxe wig work for me?
Yes, and you're in good company. I started Luxe after my own hair loss. Our HD lace wigs are lightweight and secure, and many of our clients wear them during hair loss, alopecia or recovery. If you'd like to talk it through privately, send us a note.
Will it look natural?
Every wig is made on ultra-thin HD lace with bleached knots, so the hairline melts into your scalp. Our clients tell us people assume they just left the salon.
Do I need a stylist to install my wig?
If you're new to braided wigs, we recommend having your first install done by a professional stylist. After that, most clients find it easy to install on their own.
Shipping & returns
What is your shipping policy?
We offer free shipping within the United States. International orders have a $45 shipping fee, plus any customs or duty fees set by your country.
Every package is insured and shipped with signature confirmation. We only ship to the billing address on your payment card.
Please track your package once it ships. If your order hasn't arrived within two weeks of shipping, let us know right away. We can't be held responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address, so please double-check your address at checkout.
Missed a delivery? Follow the carrier's instructions in your shipping email to arrange pickup or redelivery. If a package is returned to us, a $35 fee applies to reship it.
What is your return and exchange policy?
Because every wig is custom made just for you, all sales are final: no refunds or exchanges.
If your wig arrives incorrect, email info@luxewigsbymonifc.com within 7 days of delivery with photos showing what's incorrect. If we confirm the error, we'll send you a prepaid return label and, once the wig is received and inspected, issue a store credit toward another wig.
The wig must be returned in its original, resellable condition: not combed, washed, brushed, cut, worn, colored or altered. Please don't cut the lace before inspecting your wig, as cut lace can't be returned.
Caring for your wig
How do I care for my braided wig?
When your wig arrives, gently stretch the braids with your fingers to release any folds from packaging.
- Washing: Dip the wig midway into lukewarm water with a few drops of shampoo, then rinse. This removes sweat and dust after wear.
- Drying: Air dry overnight, ideally in natural light and fresh air. You can blow dry on a cool, gentle setting to avoid frizz. Apply a little mousse while damp to keep braids smooth.
- Storing: Hang upright with the ends straight, on a wig hanger, hanger or mannequin.
- Shine: Use a light wig conditioner spray or cream as needed.
Please avoid: tying the braids up too often (it frays the ends), re-plaiting the ends unless you know how, and sleeping in your wig, which causes frizz.
